Refrain from voting or face Hajj ban

There are many ways to exploit Hajj by the Saudi government. Sometimes the exploitation is by arrest, entry ban, or sometimes by handing pilgrims over to their opposing parties or countries where their lives are under threat. This happened with the Libyan and Uyghur pilgrims. However, the Saudi authorities have escalated the pace of exploitation of Hajj. Violations are not only practiced against individuals, but this could be against other governments as happened with the Indonesian government. This was revealed by the Guardian in 2021. It reported that the Saudi authorities threatened the Indonesian government to restrict the travel of Indonesian pilgrims to Makkah if the government did not vote against a United Nations resolution condemning Saudi crimes in Yemen.
