Syrian scholar arrested for denouncing Bashar al-Assad

In another violation of the sanctity of the Islamic holy places and days, the Saudi authorities arrested at the beginning of 1443-2022 Hajj season, a famous Syrian religious figure, Abd al-Alim Abdullah, who is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Council, along with one of his companions inside the Grand Mosque of Makkah. The arrest of the Syrian preacher was because of him making prayers against the Syrian regime and Bashar al-Assad.
