Preventing entry to Makkah after arrival without compensation
In an unprecedented incident, the Saudi government arrested a number of women after they arrived to Makkah for Hajj. ALQST, a human rights organization, confirmed that in 2018, the Saudi authorities arrested a number of women while they were coming for Hajj without any charge. Some of them were released months after Hajj, but they missed their only opportunity. They were not compensated for this mistake after their release, despite the Saudi authorities informing them that they were innocent.
